Our Sports Pride Runs Deep

The Quad Cities “QC” is your regional destination for sports. Positioned on the Mississippi River, we are a dynamic bi-state (Iowa/Illinois) family of communities of nearly 500,000 Quad Citizens ready to serve and deliver as your host and partner.

Rich in sports history and transforming daily, the Quad Cities is the largest metropolitan area on the upper Mississippi River between St. Louis and Minneapolis. We are centrally located within a six-hour drive of 37 million people, and we are accessible, affordable and understand the value of events in all shapes and sizes.

Our sports pride runs deep, as does our healthy sense of competition and our love for sports. We know how to compete, manage, and organize sports events from not only our own experience, but also through the strong partnerships we have with our local colleges and universities - Augustana College, St. Ambrose University, Black Hawk College, Western Illinois University Quad Cities Campus, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, and our local professional sports teams - Quad Cities River Bandits baseball, Quad City Storm hockey, and Quad City Steamwheelers arena football.

In addition, we host a compelling roster of annual signature events such as the John Deere Classic, Quad-City Times Bix 7, TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon, Kwik Star Criterium, and the Extreme Rock Island Grand Prix. Couple those with the Missouri Valley Women’s Basketball Tournament, NAIA Men’s/Women’s Golf Championships, RAGBRAI, JP Sports Baseball/Softball Tournaments, Iowa Soccer Association Championships, American Cue Championships, and many more that drive value and positive benefits for our community.

We offer a diverse portfolio of venues, outdoor spaces, hotel partners, unique dining options, attractions, and authentic amenities that will create lifelong memories for participants, event rights holders, and more. Our community understands the importance of amateur, collegiate, and professional sports and values sports tourism. The PGA TOUR recently named the Quad Cities (host of the John Deere Classic) the most engaged community of all PGA TOUR event destinations. Our sports pride runs deep, and we are not slowing down.
