The Quad Cities is the crossroads of the Mississippi River Trail (MRT), the American Discovery Trail (ADT), and the new national Rails to Trails, which follows former rail lines to connect communities across the country. QC is a cycling and running community with over 100 miles of biking and hiking trails. From challenging mountain biking courses, BMX tracks, and paved cycling trails to road races and triathlons, the region attracts competitors from across the U.S. and world for a variety of on- and off-road sporting events like the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon, Quad City Times Bix7, Kwik Star Quad Cities Criterium bike races, and Extreme Rock Island Grand Prix.
